Experience the Lowcountry in

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

Golf has been part of life on Hilton Head Island since 1962. Today, Hilton Head Island is home to more than 23 championship courses, both public and private, designed by renowned golf architects like Robert Trent Jones Sr., Pete Dye, and Jack Nicklaus. Golfers of all skill levels can enjoy exciting golf experiences including oceanfront courses, traditional parkland courses, and more, all played with a delightful side of Southern hospitality and year-round enjoyable weather. It’s not surprising that Hilton Head Island has been voted the #10 golf destination in the world by Golf Digest readers. In addition to being a fantastic place to play, Hilton Head Island also hosts some of the golf world’s top events. The Island is a PGA TOUR event destination as well as the host of the annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing.

Golf Courses

  • Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III

Designed by George Cobb, the Ocean Course at the Sea Pines Resort was the first 18-hole layout to open on Hilton Head Island back in 1960 and it was subsequently renovated by Mark McCumber in the mid-1990s.

Love Golf Design – featuring Davis Love III, his brother Mark and lead architect Scot Sherman – redesigned the layout in 2016, restoring natural dunes and creating new sand hills which now blend into the layout.

  • Harbour Town Golf Links

Play in the Footsteps of Legends - One of the most celebrated courses on the PGA TOUR, Harbour Town Golf Links is both the crowning achievement of famed designer Pete Dye and design consultant Jack Nicklaus. It places a premium on finesse, imagination and shot making, rather than strength.

  • Heron Point Golf Course by Pete Dye

A Modern Masterpiece - Designed by the late, legendary course architect Pete Dye, this golf course challenges golfers with risk-reward long and short holes. The fairways move toward and away from hazards and Dye’s ubiquitous mounding and swales framing target areas make this a must-play course.
