Four Seasons Resort Lanai
A Forbes Travel Guide 5-star and AAA Five-Diamond resort. U.S. News & World Report named Four Seasons Resort Lanai the #1 hotel in the United States in 2018, 2020, and 2021
On the southeastern coast of the pristine island of Lanai, this five-star, five-diamond resort sits just a moment away from many of the most scenic spots, best reached by foot or 4-by-4, and where the Hawaii found in vintage postcards comes vibrantly to life. Spend your days lounging by lagoon-style pools, strolling pristine botanical gardens, or reconnecting body and spirit at Hawanawana Spa. From the rugged uplands to the aquatic sanctuary of Hulopoe Bay, the opportunities for adventure – and relaxation – are endless.
Courses
Kapalua- Plantation Course
Plantation Course has been recognized as the best golf course in Hawaii for fifteen consecutive years by Golfweek.
Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole. Its lengthy 7,596 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but its wide fairways and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You’ll feel like one of the pros when – with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway – you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life.
The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR’s The Sentry each January featuring an elite field of previous year’s PGA TOUR winners. The course record is set at 61 and tied between Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm, and Matt Jones from the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions.
Kapalua- Bay Course
The Kapalua Bay Course is a championship course that is as challenging as it is beautiful. The Bay Course opened in 1975 and in that time has hosted over 20 major professional tournaments – the most of any neighbor island course in the state of Hawaii. From the first live prime-time televised event in golf at the 1983 Kapalua International to the Kapalua LPGA classic some 25 years later, The Bay Course has consistently faced the best players in golf and withstood the test of time and technology.
Great champions and stories have emerged here, such as Greg Norman’s first win on America soil, Ian Woosnam and David Llwellyn’s thrilling victory for Wales in the World Cup of Golf and Morgan Pressel’s nail-biting win at the Kapalua LPGA classic. Two of the most popular PGA players ever, Fred Couples and Davis Love III, have each earned victories here – twice.
Manele
Manele is Hawaii’s #1 Public Course. Built on lava outcroppings, this Jack Nicklaus-signature course features three holes perched on cliffs, enlisting the Pacific Ocean as a water hazard.
The five-tee concept challenges the best golfers – tee shots over natural gorges and ravines must be precise – and novice players will enjoy practicing their swing amid spectacular vistas.

Views

The Break
This open-air bar offers Hawaiian coffee and light breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and housemade gelato at lunch. As the day winds down, gather for sharing plates, local beer, wine and craft cocktails or end the evening with nightcaps and dessert. Guests can enjoy pool and other table games, relax with sports programs, or simply enjoy the view.
